Moab Easter Sunday Last full day.

Easter Sunday in Moab, UT I spent driving out north and west of town to visit Dead Horse Canyon and Secret Spire.  I spent about 5 hours on the road with 3 of it being on dirt roads. The weather was nice in the high 70s.

MOAB Wednesday

Today started off with an event at area BFE.  Its was a BF Goodrich sponsored event that meant that it was a closed course with about 50 participants.  I was outfitted in a corporate T-shirt and accompanied my brother on a guided tour of Area BFE.  We started the trail ride a bit before 10 am and finished at 1:00 pm.

Next on my agenda was a trip up to Onion Creek.  Onion Creek is about 20 miles north I drove the FC there and took some amazing photos and had a really nice time. I received a voice mail from my brother during my 5 hour 4x4 adventure that the "Mighty FC" was on display in downtown Moab.  I took the opportunity to drive by and get someone to take a photo of me, my FC, and the Mighty FC.

Doing some 4 wheeling

So after the morning at Area BFE I decided to take my brother's recommendation and do some 4 wheeling in Moab. I started on the Shafer Trail (pictured above).  I drove through Moab around noon and entered Shafer Trail around 12:30.  The FC handled the uphill trip in 4-wheel drive high.  After a 3 hour climb I arrived at the Canyonlands Visitor center and then continued to Long Canyon trail for the return trip.   It was a great day.  The weather was sunny, high 50's, and very nice.
